PURPOSE:To permit the intake of water from any depth as well as eliminate the need for gate and intake valve by making plural intake holes provided in an inner tube coincide with a slit provided in an outer tube by turning the inner tube of a water intake device when taking water from dam. CONSTITUTION:When sending water to a water supply tube 3, an inner tube 10 is turned by a rotary driver 9 to confront one of plural intake holes at a slit 5, whereupon water in a water reservoir is supplied through the intake holes 12 to a water supply tube 3. In this case, since dust and rubbish in the water reservoir 4 are shut out from the slit 5, the invasion of dust and rubbish into between the outer tube 2 and the outer tube 10 can be prevented. When stopping the supply of water to the water supply tube 3, the inner tube 10 is stopped at a place where all intake holes 12 do not confront the slit 5. |
