Antibiotics SF-2050 was produced by fermn. with Streptomyces strain SF-2050. Thus, a preculture of Streptomyces SF-2050 was inoculated into prodn. medium contg glucose 2, soybean mean 1, K2HPO4 0.1, CaCO3 0.02. and COCl26H2O 0.0001% and incubated at 28≦̸C for 24 hr with 50% aq. acetone. This ext. was applied to a DEAE-dextran column and eluted with pH 7 phosphate buffer contg. 0.14M NaCl.
