PURPOSE:To reduce the electric power which a pulse motor consumes by a method wherein a load detecting circuit regulates the power magnitude according to the loads the motor is placed under. CONSTITUTION:A load detecting circuit 29 is added to a control system constituted of an oscillating circuit 25, frequency dividing circuit 26, pulse motor driving circuit 27, and a pulse motor 28. An output yielded by the load detecting circuit 29 is conveyed via a control circuit 30 for the driving of the pulse motor 28. Ordinarily, a motor is driven by a narrow driving pulse 31 on the assumption of no load. The size of a load is detected by measuring the current wave induced following a drive and, as long as the load remains light, narrow pulses 32 and 33 repeat the drive. Next, driving with narrow pulses is near its limit because of the load growing heavier, wide pulses 34-36 are employed to effect driving for a certain period of time, whereafter driving is continued with ordinary narrow pulses. |
