PURPOSE:To form a fluorescent material film to a uniform thickness, surely and easily chip an exhaust pipe, also eliminate the strength problem of a glass pipe, by removing the fluorescent material film on an internal surface of the glass pipe, and then sealing and chipping said glass pipe in the vicinity of a connection part to a curved part. CONSTITUTION:An external wall surface in a central curved part 3 and one end of a glass pipe 8 are heated and softened, and then the both are butted to be communicated to each other, thus the glass pipe 8 is protrusively provided. Then a fluorescent material suspension is applied to the internal surface of a bulb 7, dried and baked to form a fluorescent material film 9. Further the film 9 is exfoliated from an internal surface of the glass pipe 8 by slidably contacting a brush 10 to the fluorescent material film 9. Then an expected chipping part 11 of the glass pipe 8 is heated by a burner and the like, and then this glass pipe 8 is axially extended and formed with a small contoured part 12, thus the expected chipping part 11 of the glass pipe 8 is again heated, air-tightly sealed and cut off, that is, chipping is performed to form a chipped part 13 in the central curved part 3, finally a curved tube fluorescent lamp 14 can be obtained. |
