An apparatus for the fanned-out supply of water from a pipe (22) into a container (2) closed off by an approximately semicircular wall and open at the top, especially into a chamber of a detergent flush-in device for a washing machine, in which the pipe orifice is covered relative to the container (2) by a hanging skirt (31) guided at a distance from the approximately semicircular wall (21), is to be designed in such a way that, during the formation of a wide water film for the residue-free flushing out of powdery or granular substances, a gasket between the container wall and the cover frame (3) can be omitted, and that the cover frame can be removed and reattached in a simple way for the purpose of cleaning. The invention achieves this object in that the pipe orifice, as an integral part of the semicircular wall (21), is surrounded by a slot-shaped cavity (24), and the skirt (31) is connected in one piece to a cover frame (3) which closes off the cavity (24) at the top and which, in the region outside the cavity, has a fitting frame (32), bearing on the inside against the wall set back outwards in this region and guided at a distance from the skirt, and, in the cavity, a centering shell (33) which extends along the fitting frame, and in that the cavity (24) extends beyond the skirt (31) downwards. <IMAGE>
