This apparatus has pick-up units which are arranged movably on the apparatus and which, during the forward movement of the apparatus, remain essentially at a fixed location in relation to the base regions of the stalks of the plants carrying the berries to be harvested. These pick-up units are arranged in two rows essentially parallel to one another and jointly surround a row of plants on both sides. The apparatus has at least one conveyor transporting the crop from the pick-up units to a skip for storage and tipping devices emptying the crop out of the pick-up units onto the conveyor.
