PURPOSE:To reduce switching losses, by increasing the switching speed of a semiconductor switching element for electric power. CONSTITUTION:An auxiliary power supply part E containing a resistance R3 which rectifies and smoothes the secondary output of a pulse transformer T, a diodes D3 and D4 plus capacitors C1 and C2 is connected to the secondary winding of the transformer T. The secondary output of the transformer T is supplied to a waveform shaping circuit FF which performs the waveform shaping to obtain a sudden rise and fall. At the same time, the voltage is applied to a series circuit of transistors TRQ3 and Q4 which are turned on and off in response to the output of the circuit FF and with a common connection of an emitter. Then the common emitter of the TRs Q3 and Q4 is connected to the gate of an MOS field effect TRQ1 for electric power, and at the same time the source is connected to the negative pole of the part E. As a result, the TRQ1 is turned on and off in response to the ON and OFF of the switching signal. |
