PURPOSE:To measure the degree of fluid electrification easily, safely and accurately by a method wherein a fluid contained in a container in a shield case is made to flow out at a constant rate under a constant gas pressure and the quantity of static electricity generated thereby in a static-electricity generating element is measured. CONSTITUTION:A fluid, such as transformer oil, is put in a measuring container 1 grounded by a lead wire 12 via a shield case 3. When a valve 9 is opened after air bubbles in a piping, etc. are removed, the fluid is made to flow down at an almost constant rate under the pressure of constant-pressure nitrogen or the like supplied from a constant-pressure vessel 7. By this fluid, fluid electrification occurs in an insulated static-electricity generating element 8 which is housed replaceably in the container 1 and provided with small-orifice flow channels 8b, and the degree of the fluid electricity is measured easily, safely and accurately by a current meter 4, and integrator 5, etc. irrespective of a wattmeter. |
