PURPOSE:To reclaim a starter which would conventionally be discarded, by disassembling and cleaning up the used starter, wrapping a switch mechanism housing with an anti-rusting high-molecular film and thereafter putting all the parts together again. CONSTITUTION:To reclaim a starter removed from a scrapped vehicle or the like, the starter is first completely disassembled and cleaned up. After anti- rust painting is effected on the outsides of a rear blanket 2 and a field coil housing 5, a field coil unit is housed and the rear blanket is conjoined. A disassembled switch mechanism is also cleaned up. The peripheral surface and bottom 8 of a switch mechanism housing cylinder 6 are wrapped with a high-molecular film 7 of high anti-rusting property such as a polyethylene film or a high-molecular film coated with a metal such as aluminum, so that an adhesive is provided between the film and the housing cylinder. The housing cylinder 6 etc., whose anti-rusting porperty is thus heightened, are coupled to a front blanket 9 as the last step of assembly work. |
