PURPOSE:To obtain the small-sized generator of an excellent cooling effect by a method wherein a flat-type armature coil is arranged between two permanent magnets which are opposing each other and rotate in axial direction, and both sides of the armature coil are pinched by a metal plate. CONSTITUTION:A pair of disks 1a and 1b made of iron, for example, are provided in axial direction on the rotor shaft 3 which will be driven by a prime mover, and two permanent magnets 7a and 7b are annularly arranged opposing each other on the outer circumferential side of the disks 1a and 1b in such a manner that they will have a counter polarity alternately. Then, an armature coil 2, which was covered by a metal plate 12 made of iron, for example, and positioned in a pinched state, is arranged between the permanent magnets 7a and 7b, and at the same time, the metal plate 12 is pinched by housings 4a and 4b. At this point, on the metal plate 12, a heat-resisting insulating resin layer is provided on the surface which comes in close contact with the armature coil 2, and at the same time, a radiating fin 12e is provided on the outer circumferential side. |
