PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency for removing the unnecessary parts of castings by providing a transfer slide for castings between a feed slide for feeding of castings and a press cutter thereby moving the fed castings to the cutter, cutting the unnecessary parts and discharging said parts. CONSTITUTION:A cutter for unnecessary parts such as sprues or the like of castings is constituted of a pitch feed slide 1, a transfer slide 2, a press cutter 3, a sprue chute 4, and a product chute 5. The castings 12 right after knock-out fed by the slide 1 are gripped by the slide 2 and are moved to the cutter 3. The unnecessary parts thereof are cut by means of the cutter 3. The unnecessary parts are supplied into the chute 4, and the bodies into the next stage by a product chute 5 through the chute 4. |
