PURPOSE:To fine the crystal grains of steel, and to elevate the mechanical quality, etc., by obtaining austenite single phase by heat-treating the high-Mn steel, subsequently, executing a heat treatment for converting it to pearlite, and after that, executing reheating and solution heat retreatment and quenching under specified conditions. CONSTITUTION:High-Mn steel is subjected to solution heat treatment at 1,000- 1,200 deg.C and is quenched, by which an austenite single phase is obtained. Subsenquently, it is heated up to 500-700 deg.C, is tempered, and is subjected to heat treatment for converting it to pearlite. Subsequently, it is reheated at a heating speed of about 50-100 deg.C/min, and after that, is subjected to solution heat retreatment at 950-1,100 deg.C, and crystal grains are grown. Subsequently, it is quenched, and the deposition of a carbide to a crystal grain field is prevented. According to this heat treatment method, the crystal grains are fined, and the mechanical properties such as corrosion resistance, toughness, etc. of high-Mn steel are elevated. |
