PURPOSE:To improve accuracy by supporting an end of a mandrel with a tail stock, providing a mandrel bearing between another end and the tail stock and adjusting the length of worked part without changing the mandrel. CONSTITUTION:After inserting a mandrel 4 into a mandrel bearing 14, a material 8 (or an intermediate member) is mounted to an end, and another end is connected to the main shaft 10, and an end is supported by a tail stock. The bearing 14 is moved to a position of specified length L of worked part required to the mandrel 4, and fixed to complete preparation. Conventional spinning is then performed. Since the mandrel is supported by a stand 3 and the bearing 14 and the length L is freely adjustable, the mandrel is adjusted to a length most suitable for ironing process. Accordingly, lowering of accuracy due to eccentricity and deflection of the mandrel, resonance, etc. is reduced remarkably, and accuracy can be improved. |
