<p>Inside pressure of the autoclave is registered continuously to maintain it at required values during cooling by controlling the outflow of water from the autoclave through a choked exit. Relays are used to open or close the outflow variable as needed and these are connected in opposed parallel circuits to a Wheatstone bridge with four resistances. First and second respond to pressure in the autoclave and in the cans being autoclaved respectively and respond to the direction of current flow between them to open or close the choke. Third and fourth resistances in the second arm of the bridge are adjusted to the end points of the cooling phase as controls.</p> |
