PURPOSE:To raise the water resistance and durability of a lithographic printing base plate by a method in which an aluminum foil is laminated on a polymer film and then a photo-sensitive resin is coated on the aluminum foil. CONSTITUTION:An aluminum foil of a thickness of 10-200 microns is extruded and doubled on a water-resistant and heat-resistant film of high-density polyethylene, polypropylene, or polyester, having a thickness of 10-500mum, by a lamination method or with the aid of an adequate adhesive having a water resistance. In this case, the polymer film is preferably subjected to a bonding property improving treatment and a moisture proofing treatment, e.g., flame treatment, chemical treatment, corona discharge treatment, etc. Then, a photo-sensitive resin is coated on the surface of the aluminum foil to obtain a printing base plate for PS plate. Since the base plate is made of a water-resistant material, even when unexposed portion is removed by water washing in the plate making process, the core material is not deteriorated. |
