<p>PURPOSE:To prevent disorder and slack of a tape in a cassette device, by pressing an end of a tape layer with a brake lever and installing a brake pad at a position opposing to the brake lever to increase friction. CONSTITUTION:As a tape brake mechanism, a brake lever 54 and a brake pad 52 are opposed via a tape 39. Further, a brake lever 53 which can prevent rise of a tape winding section even during the running of the tape is also provided. Brake pads 50, 51 in direct contact with the tape 39 at the tip of the levers 53, 54 and the brake pad 52 are made of a high friction material such as rubber. The levers 53, 54 are freely rotatable by taking fulcrums 55a, 55b and 58a, 58b as the center respectively, and pads 50, 51 press laminating ends 39a, 39b with coil springs 63, 64 respectively to prevent slack of the tape.</p> |
