<p>Feed valve comprises a housing with a passage extending from the inlet to the outlet side, and a closure member arranged in that passage. The tubular closure member is slidable in the passage by the feed pressure against a coil spring which is co-axial with the member and contained in an annular expansion chamber capable or receiving a signal in the form of liquefied gas. The spring consists of an alloy with temperature-dependent shape having a transition range below ambient temperature such that, above that range, its spring force is maximum and below that range min. The arrangement is such that, without feed pressure and at ambient spring temp. the member shuts-off on the inlet side with feed pressure at ambient temp., the member is in mid-position (open valve); and with feed pressure with the spring below transition temp. the member shuts-off on the outlet side.</p> |
