An imidazopyridine-spiro-piperidine compound of the formula: <CHEM> or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof, wherein X represents hydrogen, halogen or lower alkoxy, Y represents @N- or C=CH-, R<1> and R<2> both represent hydrogen or combinedly form a single bond, Alk represents lower alkylene, and R<3> and R<4> both represent hydrogen or combinedly form a single bond.
