PURPOSE:To perform powder cloud development excellently thrugh a simple device by generating a cloud of conductive magnetic toner by the contact and collision of the toner on a magnetic roll, and performing the development during the application of a bias voltage. CONSTITUTION:Conductive magnetic toner 4 is supplied from a hopper 3 onto a conductive sleeve 2 which has a magnet 1 internally and rotates relatively to the magnet. The magnetic toner, after taking a round on a magnetic roll, strikes toner supplied newly from the hopper near a toner supply opening to scatter partilly. The scattered toner is shielded from by a shielding plate 5 to form a cloud of toner in development space. Applying a bias voltage to the conductive sleeve gives the toner uniform charges with the same polarity, thus performing excellent development. The collision of the magnetic toner is performed even by using two magnetic rolls. |
