PURPOSE:To diminish the submaximum and to make the directivity excellent by weighting every transmission differently, by timing each reception signal, and by adding later all the reception signals. CONSTITUTION:Transmission driving elements 3, 4 and 5 are driven sequentially by a control unit 2, and acoustic waves are transmitted from electroacoustic transducers 1 which are connected. The amplitudes of a group 6 of amplifiers being varied by the control unit 2, the reception outputs of the transducers 1 are amplified at different amplitudes corresponding to the position of each transmission element. Each reception signal is timed by a phasing unit 7, and all the reception signals for each transmission are added, including phases, in a memory unit 8. The results of this addition are displayed on a display unit 9. |
