PURPOSE:To obtain good discharge characteristic by providing at least one through hole for holding solution and gas at a part of a bipolar plate. CONSTITUTION:A negative pole 5 made of lithium of each bipolar plate 3 is carried by one side of a conductive plate 6 and a positive collector 8 is carried by another side of the conductive plate 6. By providing a through hole 10 which functions to hold both electrolyte solution and gas near the center of the bipolar plate 3, electrolyte solution is supplied also at the center and the though hole 10 functions to hold the gas generated from the secondary reaction or as a discharge path to the outside of the plate group. By this constitution, supply of electrolytic solution to the plate group is made faster and decrease in the reaction area is effectively prevented, with these effects combined resulting in better discharge characteristic. |
