PURPOSE:To obtain a composition capable of properly developing a photosensitive material contg. a lipophilic substance and having satisfactory safety and hygienic characteristics by using an aqueous soln. contg. a compound represented by a prescribed general formula. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous soln. contg. a compound represented by the general formula is used to obtain a developer composition capable of properly developing a photosensitive material contg. a lipophilic substance which is slightly soluble in water or alkali, emitting no foul odor and having satisfactory safety and hygienic characteristics. In the formula, R1 is H, 1-4C alkyl, hydroxyalkyl or halogen, R2 is H, 1-4C alkyl, 1-4C hydroxyalkyl or 2-4C hydroxyalkoxyalkyl, R3 is H, 1-4C alkyl or 1-4C hydroxyalkyl and n=1, 2 or 3. |
