<p>Method of measuring the tightness of multiple welds joining two sheets of flexible material, in particular plastic sheets, in which, after transverse welds are made in the end areas of the multiple welds, a medium under a certain pressure, preferably a gas, is introduced into the space enclosed by the welds, and the enclosed space is separated from the source of pressure medium, the distance between the outer surfaces of the welded sheets being measured after the medium under pressure is introduced at one or more points of the space enclosed by the welds, and this distance being checked during or after a predetermined time period for a decrease indicating leakage. <IMAGE></p> |
