PURPOSE:To enable the running of a gasoline engine with fuel except gasoline, by prescribing the mixture ratio of intake air to liquid fuel of low calorific value such as alcohol and gas fuel of high calorific value such as propane. CONSTITUTION:When an ignition key is turned on, a solenoid valve 7 which is closed throughout the stoppage of an engine is opened so that gas fuel regulated to prescribed pressure by a pressure control valve 8 is conducted to a flow control valve 9. When the load on the engine is light, the quantity of intake is low and the negative pressure of an intake manifold 4 is strong so that a diaphragm 12 is pulled against the elastic force of a spring 11 to close a valve 13 to reduce the supply of the gas fuel. When the load on the engine is heavy, the quantity of intake air is large and the negative pressure of the intake manifold 4 is lowered so that the valve 13 is opened to increase the supply of the gas fuel. |
