PURPOSE:To achieve a fatigue test of many spiral springs under the same test condition by effecting the coiling and uncoiling of a spiral spring takeup device utilizing power and gravity. CONSTITUTION:This tester is composed of a pair of spring take-up devices 2 and 3 so arranged to coil a sample spring piece 1 in the opposite direction to each other, rotating shafts 4 and 5 for independently supporting the devices 2 and 3, a belt 6 one end of which is wound on the rotating shaft 5 while the other end thereof is wound with a motor, a cord 8 one end of which is wound on the rotating shaft 4 in the opposite direction to the belt 6 while a weight 7 is mounted at the other end thereof and a counter 9. As the belt 6 is wound with the motor, the rotating shaft 4 rotates to wind up the weight 7 by way of the rotating shaft 5, the take-up device 3, the sample spring piece 1 and the take-up device 2. When the motor halts, the weight 7 lowers to wind up the belt 6 on the rotating shaft 5. This action is counted with the counter 9 until the spring piece 1 is cut off. |
