PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption by printing integer stages on a display device, and inhibiting the integer stages from being driven when a value of an intemediate stage is displayed. CONSTITUTION:A liquid-crystal display element consists of polarizing plates 7 and 11, transparent glass plates 8 and 9 with transparent electrodes 8BZ and 9AZ, and liquid crystal 10, and on a surface of the transparent glass plate 8, an annular display member 8A for indicating intermediate stages of a display plate and a display member 17 for indicating contours of numbers of integer stages are printed. Those display members 8A and 17 are visible even while the liquid-crystal display element is not driven. For example, when a photographic speed higher than ASA100 by a 1/3 stage which is one of intermediate stage values is set and an aperture value higher than F5.6 by a 1/3 stage which is one of intermediate stage values is set, only a liquid-crystal display element for an intermediate stage which corresponds to said values is driven. |
