<p>Watery oil sludges are hitherto essentially deposited in special dumping grounds. Burning has also been envisaged, but this would bring about new environmental problems. According to the invention, a carbon-containing aggregate is mixed with the oil sludge and the mixture is then pressed into bricks. These bricks are gasified and the process gas is completely transformed into flue gas by controlled cracking and combustion. Finally, the smoke gas can be supplied to a heat recovery installation.</p> |
