<p>GUIDE DEVICE FOR USE IN ELONGATE FILAMENT DISPENSING PACKAGE AND THE LIKE A reusable guide device for use in guiding elongate filament such as wire from a coil contained within a package or carton, the guide device including a tubular guide member adapted to be inserted radially into the coil and having means for securing an outer end of the guide member within an opening in the carton so that the elongate filament may be paid out from the coil through the guide member. Restraint means in the form of a plurality of finger barriers are provided within the guide member and cooperate with the elongate filament to prevent its retraction or withdrawal back into the package.</p> |
