PURPOSE:To economically and efficiently perform edition and instruction of a document between remote locations without deterioration of picture quality by displaying received facsimile picture information on a display and transmitting it again after the edition and instruction. CONSTITUTION:Facsimile picture information from a facsimile terminal 12 is automatically received via an exchange network 11 and stored in a file memory 3 for picture information storage via a transmission and reception interface. In instructing display of received picture information from an operation instruction section 4, the instruction is interpreted at a control section 9 to read out picture information of the 1st page received from the file memory 3 and displays the information on a dot type display section 7. The operator for reception observes displayed picture information and performs edition and instruction such as correction, addition, deletion and shift of sentences and graphs by using an edition instruction information input section 8 such as a light pen and a tablet. When the edition and instruction is finished, edited information is stored in a display video memory 6 and retransmitted to the facsimile terminal 12 via the exchange network 11 by the instructions of the sections 4 and 9. |
