<p>PURPOSE:To perform a reliable detection of temperature in a purely optical manner, by a method wherein light from the same and one light source is transmitted through two optical fibers, a transmission is made such that the one optical fiber is left as it is and the other is secured to a bimetal, and an output ratio between the two collectors is found. CONSTITUTION:Light from a photo oscillator 6 is transmitted through a first optical fiber 7, light is separated into its spectral components by a beam splitter 8, and the light is caused to enter second and third optical fibers 9 and 10. The second optical fiber 9 is fastened to a bimetal 11 with an adhesive agent, and is deformed by temperature. The outputs from the two fibers 9 and 10 are collected by collectos 13 and 14, and an output ratio between the two collectors 13 and 14 is found by a divider 15.</p> |
