PURPOSE:To realize the most appropriate fuel injection correspondingly to load and the rate of rotation by configuring the captioned adjuster in such a manner as the installation length of a lifting and lowering device connected to a plunger of a fuel injection pump from a roller may be adjusted through an adjuster during engine operation. CONSTITUTION:A plunger 3 is placed on a elevator member 5 which repeats vertical reciprocating motion through engaging a roller 4 at the lower end of said member 5 with a cam 1. When a hydraulic piston 9 is rotated by a predetermined angle through an adjustment lever 15 and a small hole 12 is faced to the top part side of a slantly cut face 10, said hole 12 and said face 10 come close to each other. Accordingly, when a hydraulic cylinder 7 is raised, the small hole 12 is blocked in a short time corresponding to an interval between said hole 12 and said face 10, and a hollow part 11 of the hydraulic piston 9 remains full of lubricant. The hydraulic piston 9, that is, the elevator member 5 comes to be lifted and lowered in one body with the hydraulic cylinder 7, and the plunger 3 linking to said member 5 starts injection earlier in response to the blocking time of the samll hole 12. The adjustment lever 15 moves in linkage to condition of an engine with the set quantity of rotation. |
