PURPOSE:To display performance of superchargers to a maximum limit and improve charging efficiency, by separately connecting each exhaust pipe of front and rear cylinders of a V type engine to each supercharger and leading pressurized air of each supercharger to an intake box through each connecting pipe. CONSTITUTION:Intake pipes 54, 56 are provided between a front cylinder 42 and rear cylinder 44 formed with a V type side, and exhaust pipes 64, 66 are provided in the front of the front cylinder 42 and in the rear of the rear cylinder 44. The exhaust pipes 64, 66 are separately connected to each supercharger 68, 70. Pressurized air delivered from each supercharger 68, 70 is led to an intake box 28 by independent connecting pipes 80, 82. In this way, each supercharger 68, 70 is directly driven by the relatively short exhaust pipes 64, 66, and performance of the superchargers 68, 70 can be displayed to a maximum limit. Further in this way, the charging efficiency is improved, and the performance of an engine can be more improved. |
