PURPOSE:To surely supply lubricating oil fully to the periphery of a cam shaft, by providing an oil receiving part in which scattered lubricating oil from a peripheral surface of the cam shaft is received while again led to the peripheral surface of the cam shaft. CONSTITUTION:Oil receiving parts 62-65, extended toward the side of a cam shaft 36, are protrusively provided as an integral unit in an internal surface of the side of a cam shaft housing chamber 35 in a head cover 34. Engine oil, scattered from a peripheral surface of the cam shaft 36, flows along the internal surface of the head cover 34, and is received by the oil receiving parts 62-65 and temporarily stored here. Then the engine oil, received by the first and second oil receiving parts 62, 63, is dripped from the point end of these receiving parts 62, 63 to an area of each sliding contact part 49 of intake and exhaust cams 43, 44 and rocker arms 45, 46, and this area can be lubricated and cooled. |
