PURPOSE:To enhance the generation efficiency of a power generating system by decomposing ferric chloride with a heat exchanger by taking advantage of exhaust heat supplied from a fuel cell, and generating electric power by utilizing reaction caused when the above decomposed ferric chloride recombines. CONSTITUTION:Chlorine gas is supplied into a chamber 23 after passing through a flow path 16. Ferrous chloride is supplied into a chamber 25 after passing through a flow path 19. Chlorine gas and ferrous chloride recombine in a chamber 24, and as a result, currents flow out of electrodes 21 and 22. Ferric chloride flowing out of the chamber 24 is circulated, after being introduced into a heat exchanger 11 through a flow path 13. 45% of the energy of fuel gas supplied from a flow path 2 is converted into electricity by means of a fuel cell 1, and 10% of the above energy is converted into electricity flowing from the electrodes 21 and 22. In addition, a heat exchanger 26 is installed in the midst of the flow path 19 so as to enable hot water to be supplied by heating water. As a result, 25% of the energy of the fuel gas passing through the flow path 2 is recovered. |
