PURPOSE:To facilitate the inspection of the function of a wear detector and to improve the reliability of the wear detector, by constituting a device such that an attaching position of a gap detector is movably set. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder 6a is secured to a bracket 4 of a rotary device 1, it incorporates a spring 6b, and mates a piston 6c. An aperture 6d, through which a working medium, such as oil, passes, is formed in the cylinder 6a. A gap detector 6 is attached to the piston 6c. If bearings 2 and 3, contacting the device 1, wear, the device 1 and a thrust collar 7 move. Thus, a gap (g) between the detector 6 and the collar 7 changes, the signal of the detector 6 is compared with a set value of a setter 10 by a comparator 11, and if the gap (g) exceeds a limit value, an output 11a is transmitted. The feed of the medium through the aperture 6d to a chamber 6h causes moving of the piston 6c as the spring 6b is compressed, which results in moving the detector 6. This permits changing of the gap (g). |
