PURPOSE:To obtain a pump, which has good slidability, small return loss due to leakage, and high discharge pressure, by manufacturing the outer periphery of a rotor using material that is composed mainly of a high molecular material and by manufacturing the inside using a material whose specific gravity is greater than that of the high molecular material that is the major material of the outer periphery. CONSTITUTION:An outer periphery 8 of a roller 7 is made of a high molecular material such as rubber, nylon resin, or ethylene tetra fluoride polymer, while an inside 9 of this roller 8 is made of a material whose specific gravity is greater than that of the outer periphery 8 that is made mainly of a high molecular material. For example, a bar body 10 inside the roller 7 is made of stainless steel. Since, as described the above, the specific gravity of the inside of the roller 7 is greater than that of high molecular material, that is major material of the outer periphery, the roller 7 is pressed strongly to the inside surface of a casing 1 owing to a large centrifugal force. As a result, the return loss due to leakage can be reduced while the discharging pressure can be increased. Since the periphery of roller 7 is made of a high molecular material, it touches the inside surface of the casing 1 elastically, thus improving its slidability. |
