PURPOSE:To attain a motive power output in optimal condition, by providing an acceleration detector and a selective switching means for an internal combustion engine system comprising plural motive power sources and plural independent crankshafts, to operate a clutch to run the engine system in plural ranges. CONSTITUTION:An acceleration switch 55 is connected as an acceleration detector to a control circuit 57. A range changing switch 56 is connected as a manual selective switching means to the control circuit 57. The output of the control circuit is applied to the coil 56 of an electromagnetic powder clutch 42 and a solenoid 58 for controlling the interlocking of carburetors 39, 40. When a starter is turned on, a first engine 1 is driven and a control current flows to the electromagnetic powder clutch 42 and the torque of a countershaft 49 is transmitted to a crankshaft to start a second engine 2. When the second engine 2 is completely started, the control current is cut off and the clutch 42 is disengaged to disconnect the first and the second engines from each other. |
