PURPOSE:To give the flexibility to a working process, by installing a visual sensor to a numerical controller to discriminate the works of different types which are given to the machine tools and to select automatically a working program for working. CONSTITUTION:A work 2 put on a working table is detected through a visual sensor 4 with the picking-up through a TV camera device for example. This picture information is fed to a visual information processor 5. The processor 5 turns the picture information into a binary code with optimum threshold value and extracts the contour of a subject picture. Then the information on the contour is compared with the contour information of various work forms which are fed previously to the processor 5. Thus the type of the work is recognized, and the working program of the subject work is selected to perform the working. |
