The appliance for releasably connecting an operating means, driven by a pressure medium, to a pressure line (1) carrying the pressure medium comprises a coupling device (10) which can be moved along the pressure line (1) and produces the connection between the pressure line (1) and the operating means. For this purpose, the pressure line (1) has at least one outlet valve (2-9) which leads out at the casing of the line and can be actuated by permanent magnet. The coupling device is formed by an adaptor slide (10) which is displaceable on the pressure line (1) and comprises a self-sealing outlet-valve connection part (12-15), which can be fluidically connected to the outlet valve (2-9), and also an actuating part (16-22), operative by permanent magnet, for actuating the outlet valve (2-9) and the connection part (12-15). <IMAGE>
