摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent a medium in a cell from being solidified when the one among a plurality of cells which are formed in a fluidized bed boiler is stopped, in order to smoothly start its operation again later by keeping the medium in the stopping cell in a fluidized state by feeding exhaust gas to said cell. CONSTITUTION:When a fluidized bed boiler 1 is operated in fully loaded condition, fluidizing combustion is taken place by fully opening each damper 16a-16d provided to an air feeding pipe-lines 15a-15d, by a command signal from a control box 12, and flow-regulating dampers 17a-17d are controlled, respectively, by flow detectors F1-F4, which detecte the rate of air to be fed into each cell, in order to maintain a predetermined value. On the other hand, when the load to the boiler 1 is going to be decreased, in case that the operation of a cell 3 is stopped, for instance, a damper 14c in an exhaust gas introducing pipe-line 13b is fully opened, while a damper 16b is fully closed. With such an arrangement, a part of exhaust gas, is led into the cell 3 to fluidize the cell 3, so that the medium in the cell 3 is prevented from being solidified due to the melted fuel.
