PURPOSE:To secure the sealing function of a sealing member for a prolonged period of time by a method wherein in case the titled reservoir is covered with a heat insulating material, a reservoir proper and its outer cover are made of a polyethylene resin material or the like and a hot butyl type bond is used as the sealing member. CONSTITUTION:The hot water thermostatic reservoir 1 comprises the outer cover 11 having an opening 10, the water tank proper 7 and the formable heat insulating material 13 occupying the space between the outer cover 11 and the water tank 7 and covering the bottom wall 12 of the water tank 7. The opening 10 in the outer cover 11 is closed tightly by a cover 15 and the sealing member 16 is provided between a flange 8 defining an opening in the tank 7 and a groove 9. In this case, the hot butyl type bond which is capable of retaining a stabilized adhesiveness over a temperature range from a normal up to an elevated temperature is used as the sealing member 16. As a result, the connection of the water tank proper 7 and the outer cover 11 which are made of polyethylene resin is kept in a favorable condition so that steam generating in the tank 7 is prevented from permeating through the heat insulating material 14. |
