PURPOSE:To improve the backward vision with solving the backward dead angle by providing an auxiliary mirror movable in and out at the side of a rear-view mirror case in which a main mirror is equipped. CONSTITUTION:A main mirror 3 is installed in front of a rear-view mirror case 1, on which an open-close cover 4 is incorporated at an opening for extending and retracting of an auxiliary mirror which is formed at the side of the case 1, and the cover 4 is swiveled at its rear end by a supporting arm 6. Further, connecting an output shaft 12 being composed of a screwed shaft of a swingingly movable driving motor 11 and a nut member 13 being swiveled onto a push arm 9 at a point near its fulcrum 8 located at the back of the mirror 3, holding an auxiliary mirror 17 by swivelling 15, 16 an auxiliary mirror supporting frame 14 between the tip ends of the arm 9 and the cover 4, a tension spring 19 is tensionally installed between the arms 6 and 9. Thus the arms 6 and 9 being operated by normal or inverse revolution of the motor 11, the mirrors 3 and 17 can be jointly used by extending the mirror 17 from the opening 20, the rear field of vision is increased. |
