PURPOSE:To avoid damage of a rudder due to floating ice when the ship goes astern, by providing a protecting member at the back side of the rudder. CONSTITUTION:The protecting member 4 is provided at the back side of a propeller 2 and the rudder 3. In this constitution, even though the ice hits the ship when the ship goes astern, the rudder 3 does not receive the damage. |
