PURPOSE:To increase the ice breaking capability by utilizing the acute shape of protruded members and the weight of the ship, by providing a constitution wherein a plurality of bulbous parts are arranged in the upper and lower parts of the bow, and providing the acute members on the lower curved surfaces of said bulbous parts. CONSTITUTION:Two bulbous parts are provided in the lower part 2 of the hull 1 in the upper and lower relation. Both bulbous parts 3A and 3B are formed in such a way that the higher the position, the more forwardly advanced the position; and the higher the position, the wider the lateral width thereof. The upper bulbous part 3A approximately corresponds to a full load line 4A and the lower bulbous part 3B approximately corresponds to a light load draft line. The acute protruded members 5A and 5B, which are shown by a plan view and a side view, are attached to the lower curved surfaces of the bulbous parts 3A and 3B. In this constitution, the effective ice breaking work can be performed by utilizing the acute shape of the protruded members and the weight of the hull. |
