PURPOSE:To simplify a suspension apparatus, by pivoting an equalizer at the intermediate of front and rear axles, and pivoting the inner ends of leaf springs on free ends of the equalizer and the outer ends of the leaf springs on the car body so tht the axle loads acting on the front and rear axles may be equalized. CONSTITUTION:The equalizer 23 rotatable about a pivot 22 is pivotally mounted on a equalizer bracket 21 secured to depend from the intermediate position of the car body 20 between the front axle 3 and the rear axle 4. The eyeends 6a, 8a at the inner ends of the front and rear leaf springs 6, 8 are pivoted in position on the left and right ends of the equalizer 23, and the outer ends 6b, 8b of the front and rear leaf springs 6, 8 are supported slidably by fixed brackets 26, 27. Thus, the axle loads acting on the front and rear axles can be equalized, and further since a torque link is not needed, the number of parts can be decreased to simplify the structure. |
