PURPOSE:To obtain an efficient polarity deciding device by a method wherein the current, utilizing the characteristic of diode pellets allowing the current to flow only in case the positive potential is loaded in the normal direction, drives the electromagnetic valves producing vacuum to selectively attract the diode pellets lining up in the specified direction. CONSTITUTION:A pellet tray 1 is supplied with the common negative potential from the power supply 3 while each electrode 4 is supplied with the positive potential and when the gap between the lower plate 5 and the upper plate 6 is reduced, the current flows into the diode pellets with their P surface turned upward opening the electromagnetic valves 9 and producting vacuum connected to the vacuum source 10. Next the upper plate 6 is lifted upward to widen the gap from the lower plate 5 making the edge surface of the vacuum attracting pipe 7 attract the diode pellets 2. When the pellets with their P surface turned upward are moved to another pellet tray, the pellets with their N surface turned upward only are left on the initial pellet tray 1, however, when both pellet trays are turned over to join with each other, each pellet tray is lined up with respective P or N surface uniformly turned upward. |
