PURPOSE:To increase the density of photosensitive groups and to enhance the photosensitivity by adding a specified amine or ammonium salt to polyamic acid (deriv.). CONSTITUTION:To polyamic acid (deriv.) having photopolymerizable or photodimerizable groups and expressed by formulaI(where each of R<1-3> is an aromatic cyclic group; R<4> is H or an ammonium ion; Y is a photopolymerizable or photodimerizable group; X is a bivalent group bonding R<3> to Y; W is H or X-Y; (n) is 1 or 2; (x) is 5-100; and COOR<4> bonds to the amido group at the o- or p-position) is added amine having a photopolymerizable or photodimerizable group and expressed by formula II[where Z is Y; R<5> is a bivalent group bonding Z to N; R<6> is Z-R<5>-, H or CkH2k+1 (k is 1-5); and R<7> is Z-R<5>-, H or CeH2e+1 (e is 1-5)]or ammonium salt of amine expressed by formula II[where R<8> is halogen or R<9>COO (R<9> is alkyl)]. A sensitizer such as anthraquinone may be added furthermore.
