PURPOSE:To increase the braking effect, the ahead power, etc., by making a semi-spherical stock project at the middle of the top wall of a pin head end, and providing an annular projection or recess concentrically on the semi-spherical stock. CONSTITUTION:The stock (a) having a semi-spherical part projects approximately at the middle of the top wall 21 of the head end 2 of a spike pin 1, and the spherical surfaces 3, 3' of the stock (a) are provided with the annular projection or recess 4 or 5 that is concentric with the stock (a). The spike pin is mounted in a tire in such a way that the head end 2 is exposed into the rubber layer from the tread in a desired length. Thus as the tire is rotated, the pin 1 can repeatedly be moved back and forth arcuately a little with the center of the bottom wall 7 of the tail end 6 as a fulcrum point, and since the forward and rear side triangular parts of the pin 1 are eliminated, the paved road surface is hardly abraided. |
