The element consists of a radiation-transparent base (10), a reagent layer (16) permeable to the substance to be analysed, and a registration layer (12) arranged between the reagent layer and the base. The reagent layer contains a substance which causes a reaction with the substance to be analysed so as to form a dye. The purpose of the registration layer is to make it possible to detect the dye, e.g. by means of radiometry. The element further contains, between the reagent layer and the registration layer, a permeable radiation barrier layer (14) and/or an isotropic, porous distributing layer over that side of the reagent layer which faces away from the base. The element can be used particularly advantageously for the diagnostic analysis of biological fluids, e.g. blood, blood serum and urine. <IMAGE> |
