PURPOSE:To prepare sphingomyelinase, by culturing microorganism belonging to Streptomyces genus. CONSTITUTION:Microorganisms belonging to Streptomyces genus and capable of producing sphingomyelinase, e.g. Streptomyces sp. A9107 strain (FERM-P No.4978) are inoculated in a nutrient medium, and cultured at 7.0 pH and 24- 28 deg.C for 40-50hr under agitation and aeration. The objective sphingomyelinase can be separated from the cultured liquid. |
